Need a Composer?

[Jonathan Brooks]

Jonathan studied in Cambridge and London and subsequently holds a Masters degree (with commendation) in Film and Television Composition. As a multi-instrumentalist, he mainly plays piano, french horn and trumpet.

With his recording studio based in Cheshire, he composes music for film, television, computer games, animations, web sites, corporate videos and generally anything for the media. He also orchestrates, arranges and conducts a variety of musical genres.

Recent clients and credits include: Sony Playstation II, Oxford University Press, X-Box, City of Prague Philharmonic, Astra Zeneca, Richard Clayderman, Andy Cole's Children's Foundation, Game Cube and S.P.N.M.

His research into the relationship between sound and emotions enables him to approach projects with sensitivity and awareness.

Any budget considered.

i don't think this is the perfect forum for such announcements...

...we're all wanna-be guerilla-crazed filmmakers actually trying to get the most cheap solutions for movies.

For example, i will take guitar lessons and get a second hand keybord-syntethizer stuff for making my own music.

It's just a matter of doing'-It-Himself.

you're right about this forum not being the right place to get work as a composer!!

i have been trying to get work for ages, and never had any luck from any forum!.....well, except one, but i replied to a "composer wanted" post, and i have now done 5 films short films with them.

i am always surprised by the amount of well qualified composers, with a great list of credits who seem to look for work here.

i was kind of hoping that after a while, work would just come to me....maybe not then!

- I don't always work with a budget. I'm happy for exposure in a lot of cases.......so don't rule me out if ??? is the issue.

I desperately yearn for an original score, but can barely afford to make a movie, yet alone pay for a composer.

Excellent credentials, though. Somewhat overqualified for my zombie epics and mental-patients-on-the-lam tosh.
